Job Description Objective
Person should have a right balance of strong qualitative and analytical skills. Excellent time management, communication, decision making, presentation, human relations and organizations skills. Proven experience in manual and automation testing of software projects. Excellent knowledge of company’s software development design and testing procedures. Should mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development in various modules of the product, domain and PSO QA testing processes through advice, coaching, and training opportunities. Should oversee all aspects of the project testing including estimating the effort and developing the testing strategies, checking, and reviewing QA artifacts, tracking the new requirements for the project, identifying and managing risks, ensuring content and structure of all testing documents and reviewing the reports prepared by QA Engineers.

Understanding design documents in Confluence.
Exploratory testing, creation TDS in Confluence, writing technical specifications (functional test cases) in XRay, updating JIRA, execution of test cases and documentation.
Bug Reporting, verification, documentation, updating JIRA and maintenance of Bug database for main release and MRs.
Understanding business requirements from FRS & BA, preparing and executing test scripts (OQ), testing and verifying the requirements. Preparing end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases and defects, and developing end-to-end Test Coverage.
Patch fix verification, documentation, updating JIRA and reporting.
Contribute working as an automation developer to automate all the historical and functional test scripts of core LV product.
Problem solving and thinking laterally as a part of a team or individually to meet the needs of a project.
Maintaining systems by monitoring, identifying, and reporting software defects.
Maintaining repository for the test assets for quick access and reduced redundancy. Reusing the test cases across projects, releases and sprints for regression.

Providing training to the team members in product modules, components, processes, various functional modules, LV specific testing artefacts, PQF guidelines and installation & configuration of LabVantage application, app servers, database servers and 3rd party tools.
Senior Software Engineer – Testing’s responsibilities include the following: This is not an exhaustive task list and other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate or warranted by immediate manager.
Plan designed Test plans/Test Cases based upon Functional specification designed on business requirements and processes.
Worked as Functional and/or Automation Test lead in Agile and Waterfall methodology.
Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development in various modules of the product, domain and PSO QA testing processes through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
Prepare and maintain JBoss, WebLogic & WebSphere cluster environments.
Writes and assists in the development of Test Plans, Test Procedures, Traceability Matrix, and Test Summary Report
Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management.
Analyze requirements during the requirements analysis phase of projects.
Participate in feature development and drive Quality into development process
Lead testing projects, assign tasks to team members, gathering status, updating status
Test Web Service [SOAP and REST] using Postman, SoapUI and SoapUI Pro tool.
C. Job Qualifications Necessary
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/MCA) in Computer Science or related discipline.
8 or more years of demonstrated work experience in software manual testing and 5+ years in automation testing using Selenium with cucumber (BDD framework).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience in App server (JBoss / WebLogic / WebSphere) installation and administration would be added advantage.
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
Familiar with Oracle/SQL database principles, Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Jasper Reports is appreciated.
Experience of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software or Work experience in a Lab is a huge advantage.
Knowledge in Confluence, JIRA & Xray Test Management (or any TM) tool.
Prior experience of working in Confluence/JIRA and any Test Management Tool to plan, monitor, and audit test executions
