Job role: Senior / Principle Software Engineer
Must-Have Skills: Unit Testing, jQuery, ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript
External Description
• Ensure that the re-architecture of our product implements the design objectives outlined by the Chief Architect by implementing POCs and code examples and working alongside the Boston and Mumbai development teams on product development efforts.
• Create Web application front end as per design comps and information architecture.
• Integrate front-end application with GraphQL.
• Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
• Understand executing accessibility and progressive enhancement presentation.
• Stick to established coding standards and group procedures individually and in teams.
• Add to the engineering team’s culture of high code quality
• Engage in the requirement specification process for new feature development.
• Ensure design consistency with development standards and guidelines.
• Design and build UIs on any server platform in a team environment
External Skills And Expertise
• Good understanding of ReactJS (Redux), Unit testing.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
