Anaplan are looking for a motivated SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work in an autonomous Agile team with an emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and honesty. This position is based in our YORK office. In this role as a Senior Engineer, the additional ability to support, enable and mentor your team is also highly desirable.
Your Role
• Be a key part of an agile, well-balanced, cross functional, autonomous team that develops and delivers exceptional software.
• Actively champion and promote best practices for developing and delivering reliable SaaS services into production safely, and with zero-downtime.
• Applying and expanding your skills as necessary. We really appreciate people who are keen to learn and grow.
Your Qualifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to craft well architected and easy to reason about applications regardless of the “tier”.
• Expertise writing scalable backend microservices using the JVM with Java, Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• You will have a strong focus on writing tests and will have a clear view of how and why different kinds of tests should be developed and run.
• Experience using deployment tools/technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Chef or Puppet is advantageous.
• Positive energy and enthusiasm— culture is a really big deal for us…we’re looking for really smart people who love solving big problems and are motivated to get things done.
