OCI Networking, as a part of OCI Core Services is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate and enable high scale broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud. All the other services and applications on cloud consume these core services. OCI Networking Development, India is a newly established team who will develop these state of art, distributed and highly available virtual networking services.
This position is for OCI’s Virtual Networking org. The Virtual Networking Team owns a highly reliable, versatile and performant network services that lays the foundation for the cloud to run and perform. As part of the Virtual Networking, the Virtual Network Monitoring team builds distributed services that handle monitoring of network infrastructure and derive metrics in the order of millions.
We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Software Development with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in global distributed systems, reliability engineering, and improving operational posture. As a Sr. Manager of Product Development, you will own critical network monitoring software and manage a team of software engineers responsible for the development of major networking technologies in Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment which requires agility, and the drive to deliver. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant engineering experience
5+ years of experience managing engineers and managers
Excellent with design and architecture of distributed and scalable systems
Experience in partnering with other product service teams and program management teams
Experience in driving productivity, excellence and bootstrapping new teams with hiring the right talent.
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
10+ years’ experience with complex technology projects involving data analysis, software development engineering and program management
Prior experience with agile methodologies
Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects
Experience in Networking and/or Cloud Infrastructure Development preferred
