Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Required Experience: 5+ years
Location: Ahmedabad/Pune
Required Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Be an independent contributor with hands-on development of features and unit tests for the same.
• Develop, test, upgrade, and maintain software applications with microservices and scalable cloud-native applications.
• Demonstrate ability to work within an agile team and collaborate with many other groups on design and implementation strategies.
• Follow SCRUM Agile Development methodology.
• Effective Communication Skills- An ability to express your ideas to the recipient & coordinate and communicate with the cross-functional team along with the client's team.
• Problem Solving, Hustler - Get Stuff Done, Self-Disciplined Open-minded, User-Focused, Adaptive
• Lean Principles & Analytical Thinking
• Mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
• Good experience in core Java, JEE, and related Java technologies.
• Good understanding of fundamental design principles for a scalable application.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework. Should have experience in using Spring Boot (version 2.x and experience with 3.x is a plus) for building distributed microservices in Java.
• A strong understanding of Spring Security concepts like authentication, authorization, and access control and hands-on experience with Spring Security (version 5.x and experience with version 6.x is a plus)
• Good understanding of microservices architecture patterns, principles, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Gradle (preferred) and/or Maven for building and managing dependencies.
• Strong unit test writing and debugging skills. Proficiency in writing unit tests and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Boot Test.
• Understanding of REST API and API doc generation
• Good understanding of monitoring and observability of Java microservices. Experience with spring micrometers is a plus.
• Good hands-on experience in ORM or SQL frameworks (Hibernate(Preferred)/JPA/MyBatis/Spring Data/Others).
• Has hands-on experience in SQL databases like MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker; experience with Kubernetes (EKS) is a plus.
Additional Skills:
• Experience with modernizing/upgradation spring boot applications along with spring stack
• Experience with OpenRewrite or similar migration tools
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with AWS EKS for containerized deployments
• Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
