We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
In this role, you will: The RTB SME role holder is expected to own and manage end to end activities within the overall Data Analytics platform
The role holder is expected to carry out the below (not an exhaustive list): Own and manage Incidents, Problem records and Change management, per HSBC ITIL standards
Managing major issues (P1 in nature) and took them to closure
Handling and improving Batch monitoring, issue resolution and Service requests
Manage the implementation of the Disaster Recovery and role-swap of various Production systems
Managing production releases and deployment
Monitor and report on all aspects of Production processing (Incidents, Problems, Service Level indicators etc.), using automated dashboards
Work closely with the Engineering / product team to ensure automation of the Production processes
Promote Site Reliability Engineering culture
Communicate effectively with various Business & IT teams
Collaborate effectively with global members to achieve desired outcomes
Work during India office hours (9 AM to 6 PM), but provide 24*7 on-call support out of office hours on rotation / need basis
Ensure adherence to different SLAs
Understand monitoring tools and evolve the tooling to improve the Operations teams’ ability to proactively deal with production issues
Should comply with audit, data protection & IT Security procedures to ensure integrity of system
Should be open to learn new technologies based on project requirements
Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Knowledge of IBM Websphere Application Server, IBM’s Infosphere Information Server and IBM’s Master Data Management platform, Websphere MQ
Experience with Big Data (Hadoop) principles is preferred
Good to have knowledge of GCP
Bachelors of Engineering preferred Knowledge and understanding of Banking domain and IT Infrastructure is preferred Sound knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, Unix, shell scripting, Scheduling tools like Control-M, monitoring tools like App Dynamics/Splunk
Proven experience of working in RTB / Production support teams
Hands-on experience and sound understanding of HSBC and ITIL, processes and standards
Good communication skills and be a team player of global team
Ability to prioritise and work independently within a diverse team environment
Open to work in shifts / non-regular hours as required
Knowledge on technologies running Java based applications in LINUX/UNIX environment
5-7 years of overall IT application support experience with Java, PLSQL, MQ, Big Data, Qlik View, BI Tools (Qlik and Power BI), Hadoop etc
