Job Description:
The Test Lead reports directly to Capability Lead - Testing and is responsible for delivering test activities directly to the project/ project support team
Key Responsibilities include:
• As a Test Lead, you will be responsible to plan and undertake end-to-end test activities such as test effort estimation, test script development, test execution & defects management
• Automation test lead to understand the project automation needs.
• Provide inputs to project to choose the right automation tool, decide what test cases to be automation.
• Work collaboratively with Test Manager/Business Analyst/ test teams to assess test scenarios and provide automation test plan
• Develop automation framework and create automated tests that are resistant to changes and create reusable components.
• Automation lead to showcase the benefits of automation
• In some cases, the automation Tester will develop, data sets and automate the scripts
• You need to manage the work in respective functional area to enable effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the targeted testing SLA and business continuity.
• Involve in executing test approaches for new projects that require test services from the Test Team.
• Develop Change Request/Data Request test scripts, test conditions, input test data and expected results – especially those that require integration between modules.
• Have a broad understanding of business processes; not only in respective functional areas but also integration points.
• Able to work with testing tools such ALM, AzureDevops, HP UFT or Worksoft Certify QTP
• Create, run & maintain scripts for manual and automated testing in the areas of functional, performance & interface testing.
• Ever-green documentations in their respective areas e.g. in the Test Library.
• Work with the Test Manager /Business Analysts / Functional Team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
• Participate in improvement initiatives.
• Test script development will be based on test scenarios prepared by the Test Manager/ Business Analysts.
• Act as the coach for the new team members with regards to their role and processes, as Test Automation SME
• Create Integrated test plans including E2E integration testing ,end user identification and training planning accounts and set up end user test accounts
