The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Games Solutions Architecture team is looking for an experienced and motivated technologist with a passion for creating strategies, best practices, and solving complex business challenges focusing on the Games industry.
As an AWS Games Solutions Architect, you will work with some of the most interesting hyper-growth games companies on the planet. You’ll work with startups, indie studios, legendary blockbuster publishers, technology platforms, and middleware partners in the Games industry to help them build better games with the AWS cloud.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and should have a deep understanding of Game technologies including engines, platforms, and middleware providers alongside applicable technical use cases, architectures, and development workflow. They should also have the ability to connect technology with measurable business value. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities
Together with the broader Games teams, help develop the strategic plan for AWS, particularly the technical elements of the strategy and plan to engage customers and partners.
Establish technical credibility in sales cycles (personally or with the broader technical team), and can credibly drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc. from both customers and partners across the Gaming industries.
Collaborate with customers in the Games industry who use Engine, Platform, and Middleware Technologies to implement, test, and expand programs. Work in the field alongside sales enablement specialists, regional business development teams, and account management personnel to ensure successful deployment and scaling of these initiatives.
Deliver presentations at customer briefings and industry events, while establishing AWS Game Tech as a thought leader by showcasing innovative solutions in gaming technology domains.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
