We’re looking for a resourceful candidate with subject matter expertise and experience in the Employee Relations (ER) space for our Human Capital (HC) team based in Hyderabad. Primary responsibilities would include - guiding and supporting the firm and the business to maintain necessary compliance regarding workforce management; including, but not limited to, handling staff disciplinary and grievance instances and resolutions, Industrial Relations (IR) issues and related compliance and governance and supporting the firm and its Business Units to maintain a culture of transparency, integrity and high moral and ethical standards. The incumbent would also be required to advice and train managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies and support develop necessary collaterals to further the mission.
What You'll Do Day-to-day
You’ll be responsible for managing sensitive employee situations/grievances and review instances of employee misconduct, including required investigations, and recommendations of disciplinary actions by weighing the extent of violation, fairness of action, local employment laws and firm policies. You’ll guide and help the business maintain discipline, handle ER issues at the business unit level and resolve employee relations issues in line with the given policies and guidelines. You’ll also be responsible for designing ER strategy which includes understanding best in class ER processes and ER/HR systems, and that upholds the firm’s high standards for ethics and integrity, while focusing on building a positive and engaged work environment. Additionally, you’ll assist the Center of Excellence (COE) and Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) teams in reviewing business ethics matters. You’ll ensure continuous improvement by actively identifying gaps, propose and implement changes and innovative solutions. You’ll also develop metrics and leverage on analytics to track progress of ER cases and create comprehensive review reports for the Leadership team. In addition to this, you’ll maintain accurate records of all employee relations issues (e.g., complaints, concerns, conflicts, grievances, disciplinary actions, memos, investigation summaries and so on). You’ll be responsible for researching and explaining the laws concerning employment to managers and employees. You’ll also be responsible for advising and training managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. In addition to the above, you will also develop further training as needed.
Who We’re Looking For
• The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Human Resources, IR or related fields
• The candidate should have six to eight years of HR/Talent Management work experience with specific exposure to ER, IR and compliance
• The ideal candidate should be an expert in applicable Labor Laws (POSH, Maternity Benefit, Standing Orders, Industrial Disputes, SandE Act to name a few)
• The candidate should have expertise and exposure in dealing with new age work area compliance modalities, like anti-discrimination, bullying, workplace harassment, whistle-blowing protection, open-door, cross culture sensitivities
• Exposure to working with modern case management tools, would be an added advantage
• The candidate should be able to work in a highly collaborative environment and be comfortable with ambiguity and new challenges
• The candidate should be proactive, motivated, self-reliant, flexible, and a quick learner
• The ideal candidate should have the ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations
