Job Title : MS SQL Server Database SME
MS SQL Database Administrator SME will manage the MS SQL Database Operations within the Bank. They will be focal for any new initiatives as well the go to person in case issues or outages in the databases related to critical application.
Experience: 10+ years of experience as a MS SQL Server DBA or similar role.
Location: NOC_Mumbai (Goregaon)
Key Responsibilities:
• Performs regular strategic analysis of the DB infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and/or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support
• Manage the backup and restoration of systems
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) preparation and testing
• Available during P1/P2/P3 issues and guide the team ensuring timely support and usage of proper escalation matrix
• Produce basic project plans, root cause analysis documents, change/risk assessments, and product management documentation
• Monitoring database efficiency
• Create and update documentation including SOP's and Work Instructions
Mandatory Skillsets/Certification:
• MCTS, MCITP
• MVP certifications a plus Microsoft SQL Server (2016, 2017, 2026)
Technical & Functional
• 8+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
• 8+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
• 8+ years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• 8+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
• PL/SQL procedures development, compilation and debugging SQL Server 2016 T-SQL, Stored Procedures
