Job Purpose:
Dataction is looking for SQL Developer to join our growing team. The role is based remotely and will work closely with our customers’ world-class data organisation based out of London. You will be a part of high-performance data team that is working on building, enhancing or maintaining scalable data systems to support the rapidly evolving and growing data needs. This role needs you to deal with multiple moving pieces, while still holding up quality, long-term technical vision and delivering world class data solutions.

Responsibilities:
· Develop, support and maintain SQL database solutions leveraging scripts, stored procedures, Tables & views, SQL jobs etc. to
o Migrate data from legacy systems to new system.
o Build integrations to add data from new sources.
o Support and maintenance of existing jobs and databases.
o Enhancement of existing SQL based solutions in terms of performance, scalability and security.
· Designing and implementing scalable ETL solution to import data from a wide range of internal and external systems.
· Modernising the existing SQL based data warehouse solutions by designing and implementing robust solutions based on MS tech stack including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.
· Develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flow and data models of the data warehouse.
· Identify and implement tests and monitoring to ensure data quality and reliability.
· Participate in project planning, design/code reviews, status reporting.
· Ensure key technical and implementation risks are understood and addressed.
· Promote knowledge sharing and ensure that documentation is captured and updated regularly in line with implemented changes.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and leadership.
· Continuously find ways to expose more value in raw data and lower the amount of effort our end users spend on getting answers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· Must have 5+ years’ experience working as a SQL developer in Data warehouse, ETL, and BI projects.
· Expertise in SQL advanced concepts such as performance tuning, Common table expressions (CTEs), recursive CTEs, Self Joins, dense ranking etc.
· Expertise in writing highly performant stored procedures, functions and jobs.
· Strong communication and exceptional team player with effective problem-solving skills.
· Experience of working closely with UK, US or European stakeholders.
· Experience of working in Agile development methodology.
· Experience in Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines a plus.
· Experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS is a plus.
