About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Specialist to join our team at NTT DATA. As a key member of our database administration group, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining complex SQL Server environments.
Responsibilities
• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as Always On availability groups and log shipping.
• Patching and updating SQL Server instances to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Design and implement normalized and denormalized database structures, creating and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Troubleshoot complex SQL Server performance and availability issues using performance monitoring tools like SQL Server Profiler and DMVs.
• Automate routine SQL Server tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell and T-SQL.
Required Skills and Experience
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture and internals.
• Strong T-SQL programming skills.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex SQL Server issues.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and performance tuning tools.
