We're searching for a storage-focused engineer who excels in crafting scalable solutions for complex data challenges, ensuring high throughput, low latency, and robust resiliency within large-scale environments.

What You'll Do:
• Architect, deploy, and maintain high-performance storage systems for production workflows.
• Define requirements and manage vendor relationships for the delivery of dependable, scalable platforms.
• Develop and uphold automated, self-healing storage infrastructures following infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Implement effective strategies for data protection, including replication and tiering, across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Embed security and compliance into all storage designs and ensure robust access control.
• Build and optimize monitoring and logging systems to support round-the-clock reliability and troubleshooting.
• Research and promote new storage technologies aimed at enhancing performance and resiliency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimized data paths and workflow performance.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Storage & Filesystems
• Proven experience with high-performance storage systems used in media production (e.g., Isilon, Qumulo, NetApp).
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise and clustered filesystems.
• Strong understanding of data access protocols and their performance characteristics.
• Expertise in lifecycle management technologies including snapshotting and replication.
Data Protection & Movement
• Hands-on experience with backup and archive solutions.
• Familiarity with content transfer technologies used in production.
Infrastructure & Networking
• Experience across various storage environments including SAN, NAS, and cloud services.
• Strong grasp of storage networking technologies.
• Experience managing data center operations, including power and connectivity management.
Automation, Systems & Cloud
• Proficient in Linux/Unix and Windows in storage environments.
• Experience integrating storage with authentication systems.
• Strong automation skills with tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience managing cloud storage services.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $117,500.00-$157,500.00 per year. Actual base pay will depend on various factors including internal equity, geographic region, and job-related experience.
