This position allows for flexibility with the opportunity to work from home, coupled with travel expectations of approximately 30-40% to engage with prospects and maintain regular contact with our headquarters in Portland, Maine.
Your Impact
As an individual contributor, the ideal candidate will have a consultative sales approach and a proven track record in sales. Your responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and qualifying opportunities within diverse businesses for utilizing virtual cards in B2B transactions.
• Utilizing creativity to pinpoint target companies and engage with the appropriate contacts within those organizations.
• Managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure and follow-up activities.
• Effectively communicating our market proposition and understanding clients' needs to suggest effective solutions.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization by comprehending their drivers.
• Preparing high-quality presentations and proposals to support new business pitches and bid opportunities.
• Negotiating contracts with proficiency.
• Providing accurate revenue forecasting and management reporting as needed.
• Collaborating closely with internal operations teams to ensure a streamlined sales process and client service delivery.
• Maintaining up-to-date records in Salesforce and Account Management systems.
Experience Required
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• 8-10 years of direct sales or account/channel management experience.
• A proven track record of generating leads and a strong hunter mentality.
• Experience in B2B payments and knowledge of the virtual payment industry is highly beneficial.
• An understanding of financial services and solution sales processes.
• Experience in strategy development and meeting crucial objectives.
• History of managing business development to meet growth targets.
• Successfully established and maintained relationships with executives and technical contacts.
• Ability to build trust, foster accountability, and encourage collaboration among stakeholders.
• A record of exceeding annual sales quotas.
• Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas to individuals and groups.
The base pay range is anticipated to be between $112,700.00 and $143,000.00, reflecting qualifications and skills.
