Position Overview:
Boeing Global Support Center team is currently looking for Senior Structures Engineer to be based in Gurugram, India. The engineer will share knowledge and best practices with customers and other industry players as it pertains to airplane structures maintenance, repair to support safety, capacity and efficiency. This will be accomplished by providing workshops and seminars to Boeing products operators (airlines) and MRO as well as local regulators in support of Boeing India regional Initiatives.
The ideal candidate must enjoy knowledge sharing and interacting with audiences of up to 40 people. They must be able to work and maintain positive relationships with other team members as well as leaders at all levels of the organization.
This position may require business travel, sometimes on short notice.
Position Responsibilities:
• Deliver workshops and seminars to our customers in India. Based on expertise, these could be Structural Repair Manual, Boeing Drawings, Aging Airplane Safety Rules, Structural Repair Design, Fatigue and Corrosion, and Stress Analysis)
• Develop presentation materials in area of expertise based on knowledge of aircraft structures, structural repair principles, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes.
• Provide technical support to special projects and address structural problems affecting aircraft operation.
• Evaluate customer data to improve efficiency and reliability, and support Entry into Service programs as required.
• Provide support to Boeing technical products such as the Toolbox structures module.
• Support customers in technical review meetings and other engineering events.
• Build and maintain close relationship with customers and coordinate with various stakeholders including other Boeing teams in India.
• Hold conversations and address questions and concerns in a confident manner with Indian airlines managers/executives, as well as local civil aviation authority personnel.
• Participate in any collaborative projects with the DGCA to ensure the safety of fleet.
Knowledge Requirements:
• Good general knowledge of civil aviation and Boeing products and services.
• Deep knowledge of airline maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g. return to service, maintenance and engineering procedures).
• Deep knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g. fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques and non-destructive test methods).
• Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to aircraft structures as issued by the DGCA, FAA and EASA.
• Excellent instructional skills (preparation, delivery, summary, student motivation and engagement)
• Good command of the English language (professional level proficiency).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering. PhD is a plus.
• At least 12 years of airline or relevant OEM experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Self-driven learner.
• Collaborative learner/trainer to contribute to team capabilities and intellectual expansion.
• Ability to lead or participate in the development of new course material, and to update existing material.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to act as consultant in technical meetings, workshops and seminars.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Must be a team player.
Typical Education & Experience:
• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+12 years' related work experience.
