Services and Solutions R&D; unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as , , and .

KONE’s maintenance tools like KONE Android Mini Console (mobile based application), KONE Pro-Manager (Web based application), Fault Viewer, etc., are utilized day-to-day by our 30+ thousand field personnel for elevator and escalator intelligent maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting and commissioning.

Senior SW Developer – Mobile Development (Qt)

to join the team of experts at the KONE Services & Solutions R&D.; You will work together with other professionals to develop advanced KONE digital solutions that leverage the latest in cloud and connectivity technologies.

You are a Mobile QT development expert who is passionate about designing and implementing solutions for our mobile service tools. You are familiar with the software development patterns and can turn the architectural plans to concrete SW designs. You understand and appreciate the modern SW development practices. You work at your best when you are working with people, and you enjoy helping others.

You will work in a key role inside our Agile SW development team. Your closest colleagues will be other developers, test professionals and the PO of the team. You will be part of KONE Technology and Innovation unit’s Maintenance R&D; Tribe.

Main responsibilities include,

- Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code for the mobile applications of our service tools.
- Developing clean and efficient code based on specifications for our service tools based mobile applications.
- Building reusable components and libraries for future use
- Work on bug fixing and application performance
- Contribute to design and testing for different components in our service tools.
- Recommend and execute improvement for our service tools based mobile applications.
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
- Participating in knowledge sharing and demos

To be successful in this role ,

- Having a degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 6+ years of relevant working experience combined with programming skills on Android development with QT framework .
- Qt 5+ (QT 6 experience a plus)
- Having Qt Mobile (Android) and Web Assembly experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Experience developing custom components
- Minimum 2 years of working experience with Azure cloud platform.
- Experience on DevOps ways of working is added advantage.
- Experience on agile ways of working is very much valued as is ability to work in multi-cultural environment where diversity is appreciated.
