As a Senior Systems Administrator at Zippin, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to design, implement, and manage robust systems that drive the future of seamless shopping experiences.

Responsibilities
Architect and design high-availability systems that achieve ++.++% uptime, enabling frictionless shopping experiences for millions of customers.
Develop, deploy, and maintain Zippin's hardware fleet and foundational software components, including operating systems and Kubernetes clusters at the edge.
Responsible for OS images, Hardening, and ensuring continuous patching to maintain the highest level of security and reliability.
Demonstrate incident management expertise by efficiently triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues to minimize service disruptions.
Lead the provisioning and management of diverse hardware devices, IOT systems, servers, storage solutions, NAS, routers, and switches.
Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions such as monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure real-time insights into system performance and health.
Manage resource allocation and optimize costs to enhance operational efficiency and maintain budgetary targets.
Configure and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs, optimizing network efficiency and security.
Set and enforce system standards, thoroughly documenting procedures and best practices.
Collaborate with on-site contacts to install, configure, and coordinate routers and switches effectively.

Requirements
Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in system engineering roles, showcasing a track record of successful system design and management.
Deep understanding of compute, networking, and storage concepts, coupled with expertise in Linux environments.
Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and scaling containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with persistent block-storage and scale-out storage technologies (e.g., ZFS, Gluster

FS) to ensure optimal storage solutions.
Proven ability to design fault-tolerant and redundant systems that scale efficiently.
Proficient scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar high-level scripting languages.
Experience in security remediation processes, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, risk mitigation, and patch management.
Familiarity with IT automation platforms such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Previous experience operating systems on leading cloud providers like GCP, Azure, AWS.
Demonstrated capability to work independently and proactively, driving projects to successful completion.
Strong documentation skills, ensuring clear and comprehensive records of system configurations and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fostering effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of business objectives to align technical solutions accordingly.
