Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance and two to four years of professional tax experience

Must be flexible, organized, and able to work under time constraints/deadlines

Must have the ability to multi-task/prioritize in a fast paced and changing work environment

Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Must have intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel

Must have experience using tax return software to prepare federal/state income tax returns

Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential

Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required

Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

Prepare business personal property filings

Prepare state/local business license returns

Prepare partnership and state bar registrations/renewals

Assist with the preparation of Forms 10++-MISC and 10++-S

Prepare monthly bookkeeping and cash reconciliations and assist with income tax preparation for Firm related partnership and trust entities

Maintain/develop working relationships with other departments and groups within Accounting to resolve problems, revise business processes and document procedures

Job description

Our client located in Richmond, VA is seeking a dynamic person to join their Team as a Senior Tax Accountant. The company is very work/life balance and hybrid schedule with an excellent culture!

Responsibilities:

- Assist with preparation of federal income tax return, and partner K-1s.

- Prepare state Income tax returns.

- Prepare quarterly estimated state income tax payments.

- Prepare sales/use tax returns.

- Prepare business personal property filings.

- Prepare state/local business license returns.

- Prepare partnership and state bar registrations/renewals.

- Assist with the preparation of Forms 10++-MISC and 10++-S.

- Prepare monthly bookkeeping and cash reconciliations and assist with income tax preparation for Firm related partnership and trust entities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance and two to four years of professional tax experience.

- CPA or CPA Candidate a plus.

- Must be flexible, organized, and able to work under time constraints/deadlines.
