Essential Requirements

You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification

You must have a DELTA, DipTESOL, or MA TESOL

You must have the right to work in the UK

You must have a degree (e.g. BA, BSc)

Experience teaching on and/or managing Adult and Junior EFL programmes preferred

Recent experience as a CELTA teacher trainer (as official tutor on CELTA courses, teaching trainees) – applicants who may need to re-certify to update their CELTA Tutor status are also welcome to apply

The role: We are looking for a dynamic, experienced professional to join our core academic team in Bristol on a full-time permanent basis, teaching a range of adults and juniors, General English and exams/ESP, CLIL and bespoke programmes, and to be one of our in-house qualified CELTA tutors teaching our CELTA programmes on a regular basis. In addition, this role ideally includes management of some of our Junior programmes, most notably as Centre Manager of our Oakfield Road summer Juniors programme each year (approx. 9 weeks mid-June to mid-August period).

Key skills required:

Substantial experience of teaching, ideally including some management of Junior and Adult EFL programmes

Self-motivated and able to make decisions independently

Strong organisational skills

Accurate and willing to pay the necessary attention to detail

An excellent communicator – telephone, verbal, in writing

Reliable, personable, approachable and flexible
