As a Senior Technical Writer @ Wingify, you design and develop learning and practicing experiences with the intent of facilitating learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. Also, you must be able to convert the highly complex and technical knowledge into readable and concise functional descriptions for a different set of audiences.
Responsibilities
• Create engaging and compelling Knowledge base articles
• Writing technical documentation for our core product [...]
• Working with the engineering and product team to document new product features
• Updating current knowledge base documentation & devising processes to ensure that the KB is always up to date
• Constantly focus on improving KB from a usability perspective
• Seek feedback from internal and external stakeholders and incorporate the same
• Ability to deliver in fast-paced manner and work with multiple agile teams for weekly releases
• Create illustrations, diagrams, and other visuals that explain technical concepts
• Work with subject matter experts to identify the target audiences documentation needs
• Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product
• Proofread and edit documentation to ensure consistency of language and style, as well as technical accuracy
• Record video tutorials that show how to use technical products
Required Skills And Experience
• Should have a good understanding of web technologies
• Experience as a technical writer: 5-6+ year
• Should have strong technical skills and a passion to learn newer technologies
• Must have the necessary writing and editing expertise and authoring tools to develop appropriate audience-specific documents
• Should have the ability to find new and exciting ways to present the information to a different set of audiences
• Should know how the technology works and be able to curate it in a readable, concise and accurate manner
• Should be able to determine the documentation needs, understand user requirements and create/design documentation accordingly
• Must ensure that all information is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized
