Required Competencies
• Excellent knowledge on mold design and experience reviewing mold design
• Experience in design of injection molded plastic parts
• Ability to provide costing for plastic parts and molds
• Experience reviewing mold flow analysis results
• GD&T, DFM
• Excellent communication skills – Clear thought and ability to express with simplicity
• Worked with mold suppliers
• Software: CATIA, UG-NX, MS-Office
• Good Academic background
Responsibilities
• Work on new mold development with suppliers or at internal tool room as required.
• Develop molds with supplier – Review mold design / follow up with supplier
• Develop plastics parts as per customer 2D/3D or reverse engineer from samples provided
• Understand drawing and ability to reverse engineer plastic parts.
• Mold design for plastics part independently
• Travel to supplier end or sister plants to follow up or sort our issues as needed.
