Job Description
• Performs all routine X-Ray, Bed Side X-Ray, C-Arm and CT scans exams and filming.
• Assists in CT guided studies like FNAC, fluid aspiration etc.
• Performs routine MRI scans.
• Performs Imaging, post screening, 3D reconstruction, networking, Archival and retrieval, film processing, changing developer and fixer, etc.
• computerized tomography (CT) - creates images of cross-sections of the body using x-rays;
• magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - builds a 2D or 3D map of different tissue types within the body using magnetism
• taking responsibility for radiation safety in your work area including checking equipment for malfunctions/errors, managing referrals to ensure patients receive a radiation dose as low as reasonably possible and safely supervising visiting staff and patients in radiation work areas
• paying close attention to detail, such as annotating images correctly, to prevent errors and completing documentation quickly and accurately;
• supervising assistant practitioners, students and other staff, and delivering appropriate education and training;
• Understanding and observing health and safety at work and welfare issues, including ionising radiation regulations, to protect yourself and others.
• Performs MRI/CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist.
• Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.
• Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the coach and during the exam.
• Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
• Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
• Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.
• Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
• Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
• Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
• May assist with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers' guidelines.
• Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
• Completes necessary administrative tasks. ie: time reports, billing, QA, etc.
• Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
• Complies with all safety policies and regulations.
• Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
• Performs additional duties as required.
• Taking extra activity roles in Department Quality improvement process (NABH etc.) Should follow Department standard operating protocols, follow Chief Technologist and Manager instructions
