The Senior Vice President Finance - Group Functions & Process Excellence is a strategic leadership role within the Finance Division, reporting directly to the Group CFO. This is a hybrid role, combining two critical mandates that together drive cost discipline and operational excellence across the organization:
Finance Business Partner to Group Functions – specifically HR, IT, Legal & Compliance, and Enterprise Services – providing financial stewardship, cost management, and strategic insight to enable these functions to operate efficiently and within budget on a global scale.
Ownership of Finance processes globally, driving continuous improvement, standardization, and optimization to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of Finance operations across all markets.
The SVP is expected to bring exceptional financial acumen, strong commercial acumen, deep analytics capabilities, and deep process expertise, coupled with the leadership gravitas to engage and influence senior stakeholders at the Group Function level and across geographies.
Role Responsibilities include:
Finance Business Partnering
Serve as the primary Finance partner to the global heads of group functions, providing proactive financial advice, cost analysis, and performance insights.
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly business review, and long-range financial planning for the four Group Functions, ensuring alignment with Group-wide financial targets.
Monitor, analyse, and challenge cost performance across Group Functions, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising operational effectiveness.
Provide clear and timely financial reporting to Group Function leaders and the Group CFO, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
Partner with Group Function leaders on business cases, investment decisions, and resource allocation, ensuring robust financial evaluation and governance.
Drive accountability for cost management within Group Functions, establishing and maintaining appropriate financial controls and governance frameworks.
Support Group Function leaders in managing third-party vendor and contract costs, ensuring value for money and alignment with approved budgets.
Finance Process Ownership & Optimisation
Own and govern the end-to-end Finance processes globally, including but not limited to procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and financial planning & analysis processes.
Develop and implement a global Finance process optimisation roadmap, identifying inefficiencies and designing solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
Establish and maintain global process standards, policies, and operating procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across all markets.
Lead process transformation initiatives, leveraging technology, automation, and best practices to modernise Finance operations.
Work closely with the Finance technology and systems teams to ensure process design is effectively supported by Finance systems and tools.
Measure and track process performance through defined KPIs, driving continuous improvement and accountability across the Finance function.
Act as a centre of expertise on Finance process matters, providing guidance and support to regional and local Finance teams globally.
People Leadership
Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of approximately 20 Finance professionals across business partnering and process ownership disciplines.
Set clear direction and performance expectations, foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning, and build strong succession pipelines.
Manage team resources effectively across both workstreams, and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.
What you bring:
Exceptional financial acumen with strong skills in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management, underpinned by deep knowledge of financial controls, governance frameworks, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling insights for senior audiences.
Proven expertise in Finance process design, re-engineering, and optimization, with hands-on experience in ERP platforms (e.g. SAP), Finance automation tools, and leading cross-functional transformation programs.
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills , with the gravitas to build trusted relationships and drive alignment across functions, cultures, and geographies without direct authority.
Strategic yet detail-oriented , with a strong analytical mindset, continuous improvement orientation, and the resilience to lead effectively through complexity, ambiguity, and change.
Results-driven, inclusive leader of high integrity — collaborative, globally minded, and deeply committed to building high-performing teams and maintaining the highest standards of financial governance.
Proven people leadership capability , with experience building, developing, and inspiring sizeable teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and inclusion across diverse and geographically dispersed groups.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
