About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President for Research and Development (R&D) who will lead the charge in product innovation across various food categories. In this pivotal role, you will define and implement the R&D vision and strategy that aligns with our business goals and the ever-changing marketplace. You will oversee diverse functions including culinary arts, sensory evaluation, packaging design, regulatory compliance, marketing initiatives, and project management to ensure successful development and launch of high-quality products that resonate with consumer preferences, meet nutritional standards, and uphold our brand values.
As the VP, you will also focus on driving innovation in packaging solutions, sustainability practices, and functional enhancements, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and labeling standards. Ideal candidates will possess a Master's degree in food science, meat science, or a related field, supported by at least 15 years of experience in R&D or product development within food manufacturing, including a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role. A demonstrated history of successful product innovation and commercialization is crucial, along with strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and effective cross-functional leadership abilities. We are looking for someone with a deep passion for food trends, creativity, and consumer insights, who can nurture a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the R&D team. The ability to travel up to 15% of the time is also required.
