Job Description
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the Operational Resilience programme ensuring strategic direction and oversight
Ensure regulatory guidelines and deadlines are observed and implemented across the business
Develop systems and tooling to support Operational Resilience framework
Drive annual review of Crisis and Incident Management process and act as Secretary of Incident Management Team
Lead the Emergency Response team
Provide the oversight, training and guidance for the design, implementation and assurance of 1.5 LoD functions across COO departments
Manage monthly COO Control Pack and thematic reviews
Supervise teams handling critical controls (e.g. system access, cash management, general ledger)
Lead centralised BRC training and ensure consistent control implementation
Lead Third Party Risk Management programme
Continual improvement and embedment of third party assurance framework, vendor due diligence, third party data management and reporting
Own and manage third party data sources (e.g. Dow Jones, D&B, Hellios)
Foster a solid risk and control culture in supplier management
Requirements
Degree educated in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant subject
Risk Management qualification is preferred
Proven experience in a risk, controls or assurance, either within a professional service or the UK financial services industry
Experience of non-financial risk management methodology and controls design
Excellent working knowledge of both Operational Resilience and Third Party Risk Management and Outsourcing
Understanding of the Three Lines of Defence Risk Management model
Demonstrable knowledge of the UK regulatory environment
Proven ability to deliver operational changes on time
Demonstrable management experience in a similar role
Solid leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish credibility and trust with senior stakeholders
