Job Description
The Senior Visual Designer provides design guidance by generating ideas and executing them on all projects. The candidate should be a conceptual thinker and talented designer with diverse integrated experience that includes print, digital and social advertising.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Brand, Marketing, and Growth teams to create compelling digital and print content for our websites, emails, social channels, and ads across our portfolio of brands.
• Ensure consistency and quality of design assets.
• Flexible range of design aesthetics to match our variety of brands overall look and feel.
• Communicate across teams directly about requests, timelines, and progress.
• Branding for the YourStory IPs and creatives for digital media promotions.
• Proven experience as a Senior Graphic Designer, Graphic Designer, or in a similar role, with a strong attention to detail and knowledge of best practices in the visual communications field.
• Develop, execute and follow-up on concepts for art/design with the editorial team.
• Manage and oversee the overall design process.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or any other relevant fields.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working as a graphic designer, with digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social, and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), MidJourney, etc.
• Should have a basic knowledge of web design and be familiar with Figma and Webflow(good to have).
• Should be able to work on illustrations and should have good knowledge of typography.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong aesthetic sense
• Understanding of design principles and past work experience in design.
• Good communication and teamwork.
