Senior Waiter | Part-Time 25 Hours + | Esther

Role Overview
Esther is a signature dining and event destination within QT Hotels Auckland, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional Mediterranean menu. As a Senior Waiter, you’ll be at the heart of delivering world-class service as an ultimate Daymaker.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example on the floor, support the team during busy service periods, and contribute to the smooth delivery of both à la carte dining and event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional service across restaurant and event operations.
Act as a senior point of contact during service, supporting the team and resolving guest queries.
Maintain high standards of presentation, product knowledge, and guest engagement.
Assist with event setups and service, ensuring seamless execution.
Monitor table flow, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and uphold safety and hygiene standards.
Support training and mentoring of junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a premium or 5-star hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for guest experience.
Ability to work across varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
LCQ or Managers Certificate (advantageous but not essential).
