This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $108,644 to $153,379 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
In this senior advisory role, you will provide expert operational and asset management advice to ensure the effective, compliant, and sustainable performance of wastewater treatment plants across the region. You will support continuous improvement, guide investment decisions, and act as a subject matter expert for wastewater processes and assets, working closely with Veolia and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Oversee wastewater treatment plant performance and operational risk management
Advise on operational processes, incident investigations, shutdown planning, and compliance matters
Lead asset management and investment planning, asset condition reviews, and performance improvement initiatives
Review, monitor and support capital project planning, renewals, and operational handover activities
Build strong relationships with operators, regulators, councils, and internal delivery teams
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A relevant engineering qualification (chemical, process, environmental) or equivalent practical experience
Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and asset management principles
Experience providing technical and operational advice within complex infrastructure environments
Proven ability to work with contractors and stakeholders to improve performance and compliance
A full New Zealand driver's licence
