The Role
We are looking for a creative and talented Web Developer to be based in Pune, IN. This full-time position will be responsible for a wide variety of web development and design duties to enhance our corporate website and assist in marketing efforts. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's
• Basic functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) is a plus
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Understanding of marketing technologies and digital campaigns
• Experience building web sites, microsites and web applications
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
• Active participation and take care of ongoing pipeline of content management and asset management updates on AEM authoring process
Qualifications
• 5+ years of proven working experience in web programming
• Proven working experience in JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills,
• Experience in handling cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's
• Must have good understanding of web performance and security aspects
• Must have good understanding of browser/server cache and CDN benefits and limitations.
• Must have good understanding of on-page SEO best practices
• Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Javascript or Ruby on Rails
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
• Able to work in DevOps (CI/CD) environment. Prior experience is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
• BS in computer science or a related field
