🚀 Hiring: Senior Web3 Engineer (EVM Perps) — Matrix DEX (No-KYC Derivatives Platform)
Remote • Contract-to-hire • IST-friendly (India-preferred, open to IST ±4h)
We’re building Matrix DEX — a global, no-KYC, non-custodial perpetuals platform. V1 will ship on an EVM-only stack using GMX v2 for crypto perps (BTC/ETH/SOL) and Gains Network for equity/index exposure (TSLA/SPX). Later phases may add Hyperliquid/SOR and internal LP vaults.
What you’ll build (first 6–8 weeks)
• Next.js/React (TypeScript) trading app: markets list, trade ticket (long/short, leverage, TP/SL), positions/PnL, order history, funding display.
• GMX v2 integration (Arbitrum): ExchangeRouter writes, Reader/DataStore reads, Subsquid history, REST market data.
• Gains Network integration: trading calls + event/indexing for stocks & indices.
• Fee plumbing: UI fee receiver & referrals routed to Gnosis Safe; daily fee dashboard.
• GeoIP gate + legal pages (front-end only, contracts permissionless).
• Stateless indexer services: funding, OI, liq levels, oracle heartbeat; metrics to Grafana/Prometheus with Slack/Telegram alerts.
Must-have skills
• TypeScript, Next.js/React, Zustand/Redux, React Query.
• EVM tooling: wagmi/viem, Ethers basics, event decoding, calldata building.
• DeFi/perps experience with GMX v2 (ideally GMX v2 or similar): opening/closing perps, TP/SL orders, funding/PnL math.
• Subgraphs/GraphQL (Subsquid/The Graph) and REST/WS market data ingestion.
• Security + ops mindset: multisig flows (Gnosis Safe), RPC failover, observability.
Nice-to-have
• Gains Network (gTrade) integrator experience.
• Exposure to Hyperliquid APIs (EIP-712 signing), dYdX/Injective/Drift ecosystems.
• Node.js micro-services, PostgreSQL, Redis; AWS/GCP; Grafana/Prometheus.
• Chainlink/oracle sanity checks; runbooks for market pauses/oracle issues.
Day-1 environment
• Next.js + TS + wagmi/viem
• Arbitrum RPC (dual vendor), GMX REST endpoints + Subsquid, contract ABIs (ExchangeRouter/Reader/DataStore/ReferralStorage/EventEmitter)
• Gnosis Safe for fee routing; Slack/Telegram for alerts
Success looks like
• Place/close perp trades on GMX v2 mainnet with accurate PnL, funding, liq in UI.
• UI fee captured to our Safe and visible in daily reports.
• GeoIP gate + disclaimers live; monitoring & alerts green.
Engagement & compensation
• Full-time contract (2–3 months) with option to extend/convert.
