The Arm Open Source Software (OSS) group enables partners to build software solutions on Arm IP-based systems. In this role, you will get opportunity to work on development of software stack on the latest Arm reference boards! Your day to day responsibilities will include development of Board Support Packages (BSP) for latest Arm IP with Linux kernel and Android versions on various reference platforms.
We seek individuals with exposure and knowledge of System software stack ranging from Bootloaders, Firmware and distributed OS.
What will I Be Accountable For
• Technical lead of embedded software development team
• Delivery of system software on reference boards
What Skills, experience and qualification do I need?
• 3-+ years of experience in embedded software development
• Experience in line management and mentoring
• Experience in firmware and Linux kernel development
• Hands on software development experience of bootloaders, device drivers
• Experience in developing sophisticated software stack written preferably in C
• Scripting knowledge using Bash/Python.
• Expertise in debugging and optimizing sophisticated software systems.
• Experience with customer interactions, diagnose and resolve reported issues.
• Show a strong interpersonal and communication skills that are vital for success; we are looking for excellent written and spoken English.
• We expect a professional, hard-working and flexible approach to work with a flair for creative lateral thinking and problem solving with a dedication to extend the breadth and depth of your knowledge
Desirable Skills & Qualities
• Prior hands on experience on hypervisors – Xen
• Working experience with distributed teams
• Knowledge of Android Graphics framework
• Good debugging skills
• Good understanding of test methodologies, CI and test automation
• Knowledge of Arm architecture
