Job Description

Outdoor Norway, situated in the heart of Voss – recognized as Norway’s Adventure Capital – is seeking a talented and self-driven SEO Specialist to help elevate our digital presence. We are an adventure-focused company passionate about connecting people with unforgettable outdoor experiences. In this role, you will own and shape our SEO efforts to drive sustainable organic growth. Join an international team and play a key role in scaling a brand rooted in adventure, nature, and innovation.

Start date: March/April 2026 (Flexible)
Contract timespan: Temporary position with possibility of becoming full time
Compensation: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities
Understands the company's Vision & Mission
SEO Strategy & Leadership – Own and execute end-to-end SEO strategy, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, to drive sustainable organic growth and improve search visibility.
Advanced Keyword Research & Search Intent Mapping – Identify high-value keyword opportunities based on search intent, competition, and business goals. Continuously refine keyword targeting to maximize rankings and conversions.
Technical SEO Optimization – Conduct technical audits covering site architecture, crawlability, schema markup, and page speed improvements.
Content & On-Page Optimization – Collaborate with content and design teams to optimize existing and new content for SEO, UX, and engagement.
PPC & SEM Collaboration – Support and align SEO efforts with PPC strategies across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, using paid data to inform organic search initiatives.
Analytics & Performance Measurement – Track, analyze, and interpret performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Microsoft Clarity. Define KPIs and measure ROI.
Data-Driven Reporting & Insights – Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly reports with actionable insights, trend analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Link Building & Authority Growth – Plan and execute ethical link-building and digital PR strategies to strengthen domain authority and brand credibility.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) – Improve organic landing page performance through A/B testing, UX analysis, and funnel optimization.
Competitor & Market Analysis – Monitor competitor SEO strategies, SERP trends, and algorithm updates to stay ahead in search rankings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with digital marketing, content, development, and design teams to align SEO initiatives with business objectives.
Best Practices & Innovation – Stay updated on search engine algorithm changes, SEO tools, and industry best practices, proactively implementing improvements.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SEO, managing complex websites and large keyword sets.
Knowledge of international SEO (EU/USA markets) and AI SEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is an added advantage.
Strong expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and link-building strategies.
Working knowledge of PPC platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) and how paid and organic search complement each other.
Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Microsoft Clarity.
Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Experience in conversion optimization and performance-driven SEO.
Familiarity with Google Merchant Center and eCommerce SEO is a plus.
Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field; SEO or Google certifications are an advantage.
