PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Writing specialist focused on driving search engine traffic and rank to our website. Requires a deep understanding of near ranking factors and best practices in text
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Update headlines to a prescribed SEO formula
• Optimize/organize copy in the most efficient way to help promote Google search scores
• Research and implement best SEO practices on web items
• Create and maintain/refresh best practices guide for SEO
• Keeps up to date on new developments and algorithms and trends
• Key word placement for blogs, web pages, articles and press releases
• Google expertise
• Knowledge of social media and how it helps search rank
• Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
• Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or some related field, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience not necessary, but preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams with the ability to quickly learn new programs
• Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipments 12 Core Competencies
