Job Summary
At The Gibson, we believe dining should feel like stepping into another era—elegant, spirited, and unforgettable. We are seeking passionate and professional Servers to join our team in delivering a truly elevated experience. The ideal candidate has a love for hospitality, an appreciation for fine wine and craft cocktails, and the ability to anticipate guest needs with poise and grace. As a Server, you will guide guests through their evening—curating memorable moments with warmth, knowledge, and style.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome each guest as if they’re entering a private club—warm, attentive, and elegant.
Present menus with confidence and guide guests through food, wine, and cocktail selections, highlighting pairings from our extensive cellar.
Utilize Aloha or Micros POS systems with accuracy and efficiency for order entry and payments.
Elevate the dining experience by suggestive selling, upselling, and sharing genuine recommendations.
Deliver food and beverages with precision and impeccable timing, maintaining Gibson’s high standards of service.
Anticipate guest needs, monitor satisfaction, and resolve concerns with professionalism.
Maintain a polished and organized dining room, including clearing and resetting tables.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Partner with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless execution of orders and flawless presentation.
Provide thoughtful, memorable farewells that leave a lasting impression.
Skills & Experience
Previous serving experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality strongly preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills with a natural ability to engage guests.
Wine knowledge and an eagerness to expand expertise in our 500+ label cellar.
Comfortable with fast-paced service while maintaining elegance and composure.
Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms a plus.
POS proficiency (Aloha, Micros).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work as part of a collaborative team.
