Responsibilities
Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, including Micros POS when applicable.
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience.
Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for payments.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines during food preparation and service.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely order fulfillment.
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
Assist with training new staff members in food handling practices and customer service standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
