Restaurant Server
Cortina Pizza Hanmer restaurant looking for new team members to host and serve our guests. We are looking for individuals that positively carry themselves, self-motivated, and able to work in a team environment, and willingness to perform requested tasks. This includes but not limited to, introducing specials to the guests, explaining the menu items and components of each dish, being able to recommend and explain the different wines we offer, to pair with the selected menu item(s), setting tables according to our specification, clearing, running food, and perform proper wine service.

Server Responsibilities:
• Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service
• Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items to make recommendations
• Ensure accuracy when entering information into the POS system
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards
• Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
• Ensure tables are ready for guests before they are seated
• Be aware of any special requests, inclusive of guest allergies
• Complete opening, closing, and side-duties efficiently and safely
• Anticipate guests’ service needs by actively listening and responding positively to guests’ questions, concerns, and requests to resolve issues, delight and build trust
• Communicate to all Managers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience.
What we would like you to bring to the restaurant:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
• Ability to work during the weekend, late nights, early mornings, public holidays and split shifts.
• Possess basic food and beverage service knowledge and have a passion for the industry
• Smart Serve Certification a requirement.
• Able to utilize the freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
• An individual who poses an affinity for superior guest service and going beyond expectations and create lasting memories for our guests
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
