A Clean Burn furnace allows you to safely and economically provide heating with used oil generated on site, reducing heating costs while eliminating the environmental cradle-to-grave liability for spills and mishaps during transportation and storage.
Role Summary
We are looking for candidates to work on the installation and service of Clean Burn waste-oil burning furnaces. We are looking for a mechanically inclined candidate who is competent and confident with using tools and equipment. This job does require that the candidate be able to work on / with a ladder. Training will be provided on the proper handling and procedures of our products and equipment. De-On Supply factory trained technicians have installed thousands of Clean Burn systems. Our De-On Supply installers utilize proper safety equipment and lifting devices to ensure that the job gets done safely and in a timely manner. Our technicians will pass this experience on to allow you to do a professional installation to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Work Schedule and Location
This full-time skilled trade position typically works 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime. Most of the role is spent at clients’ locations installing and servicing. Your hours will vary by season - August through February is our busiest time of year. However there will be maintenance, cleaning and installations scheduled year round. Some overtime may be required. Appointments typically range between 30 minutes and 2 hours away from the shop.
Travel During Winter Hours
This role requires and spends 50-70% of the time traveling during the winter busy season with access to lucrative over time work. All expenses and stay are covered by the business.
Key Responsibilities
Your faithful sidekick will be your De-On Supply work truck, to get from client to client. As such, a valid driving license and a clear driving record are required.
Very comfortable with heights, a key part of the role involves creating chimneys and venting systems on buildings
Installation, maintenance, and repair of clean burn furnaces.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Educating customers on safe operation and maintenance.
Qualifications
Keeping in mind that all needed training will be provided, but a foundation or interest in the following will help you stand out as a great candidate:
Some technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or as a general contractor
Experience with clean burn or similar furnace systems (a nice to have)
Strong problem-solving skills.
Customer service orientation.
Self motivated.
An amazing team player but can also work independently without supervision.
