SERVICE DESIGNER
We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to direct and guide research, prototyping, and testing of service designs.
This role operates in a complex and sensitive environment, requiring strategic thinking and the ability to work under broad direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and review multiple user research, business, and technical engagement activities to map, analyse, and evaluate the user experience, business processes, and technology applications of current services, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Oversee the co-design, testing, and evaluation of potential future state options for service improvements, assessing feasibility, viability, and desirability.
Develop product strategies and roadmaps for sustainable implementation, ensuring alignment with operating environments, security, usability, and accessibility requirements.
Create and implement service design capability uplift strategies and training initiatives.
Develop and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring client expectations, requirements, and project objectives are met.
Contribute to organisational methods and tools, providing advice, guidance, and expertise to promote the adoption of policies and standards for design and research, including data collection, service evaluation, and the presentation of research findings and recommendations.
Essential Criteria:
Demonstrated ability to select and apply appropriate methodologies for user research, co-design, and service evaluation, capturing the end-to-end user journey, business processes, and technology landscape.
Proven ability to oversee the collection and synthesis of data into actionable insights, defining user and business needs, problem statements, and the desired future state.
Expertise in co-designing, testing, and measuring the effectiveness and feasibility of proposed digital improvement initiatives and options.
Strong strategic thinking and communication skills to influence technology investment decisions that drive impactful business and customer outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships, foster team culture, and develop processes and technical capabilities to ensure efficient prioritisation and delivery of work.
