We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join a fine dining restaurant in Toronto, Canada, led by a Michelin-starred Executive Chef.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated, standards-driven chef with a strong vision and the ability to guide and inspire a small team. You’ll oversee pastry development, production, and service within a refined culinary environment, contributing to both à la carte and tasting menu formats.
Pastry Chef Responsibilities:
• Lead the daily operations of the pastry section with consistent attention to quality, presentation, and execution
• Collaborate closely with the Michelin-starred Executive Chef and culinary team to align pastry offerings with the restaurant’s tasting menus and vision
• Develop and test new dessert concepts aligned with modern techniques and fine dining standards
• Oversee inventory, ordering, scheduling, and pastry staff training
• Actively participate in team development and mentoring
Pastry Chef Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in fine dining pastry, with demonstrated ability to work at a Michelin or near-Michelin standard
• Deep knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques, plating, and ingredient sourcing
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• A relentless commitment to quality, consistency, and innovation
• High level of personal and kitchen cleanliness, attention to detail, and respect for process
• Culinary/pastry degree preferred but not required with sufficient experience

Position Responsibilities
• Ensure customers receive products and services requested in a timely and accurate manner
• Act as a liaison between customers, Project Support Centre, Kitchen Designers, Home Depot Associates, vendors, installers and third party agents
• Resolve issues, assess customer needs, coordinate all order related activities in partnership with the Project Support Centre, delivery companies, vendors and service providers in a timely and professional manner.
