About the role
The Service Foreman plays a key role in ensuring our Ngatea service department operates efficiently and safely. A large part of your day will be hands-on in the workshop; managing escalated diagnostics and repairs, providing technical support to our workshop team and overseeing jobs to ensure a high standard of workmanship and minimal re-work is achieved.
You will provide crucial support to the Service Supervisor and Dealership Manager to ensure the workshop operates at peak efficiency, supervise a team of technicians and apprentices, and champion adherence to Norwood's Health & Safety practices.
What we’re looking for:
NZ Level 4 Automotive trade qualification and/or at least 3 years experience in repairs & servicing of agricultural/heavy diesel machinery
Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills
Experience supervising staff would be an advantage
Thorough knowledge of farming, construction and ground care practices is preferable
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel

This position is permanent and full time, 40 hours per week. You will be required for work between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and participate in an on-call roster to provide after hours support to our customers. When required, any hours worked beyond 40 hours per week will be paid at an overtime rate of 1.5x.
