What You’ll Do
Leadership & Operations
Lead daily operations for plumbing and drain service teams, ensuring quality work, efficient scheduling, and timely completion.
Meet daily with technicians to review jobs, including close rate, average ticket, options presented, and profitability.
Manage on-call rotations, monitor overtime, approve timesheets weekly, and calculate project pay for install crews.
Participate in manager-on-duty rotations.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Drive service and installation sales by building a sales-oriented, high-performing team.
Develop and implement revenue-growth strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and support as needed.
Support technicians in presenting options and maximizing opportunities on every job.
Team Development
Train, coach, and mentor technicians on technical skills, customer service, safety, and sales processes.
Conduct counseling and administer disciplinary actions when required.
Perform ride-alongs and field evaluations to ensure technical quality and operational efficiency.
Customer Service
Ensure consistent five-star customer experiences and follow up to confirm satisfaction.
Resolve customer issues promptly—same-day whenever possible.
Support technicians with real-time coaching and technical guidance.
Field & Quality Management
Conduct site visits to assess workmanship and job progress.
Inspect technician appearance, vehicle condition, equipment, and inventory.
Ensure work meets company standards, safety guidelines, and industry regulations.
Coordination & Communication
Partner with dispatch to schedule jobs based on urgency, capabilities, and equipment needs.
Collaborate with management to plan and implement technical and soft-skills training.
Track KPIs and provide performance reporting to senior leadership.
Inventory & Logistics
Manage inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure equipment and vehicles are maintained.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of service plumbing experience with strong residential & commercial system knowledge
Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing, sales-driven team
Experience in sewer replacements, hydro jetting, trenchless repairs, tankless water heaters, and softening systems
Plumbing license preferred
ServiceTitan experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize, set goals, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
3+ years of management experience in plumbing or similar service industry preferred
High school diploma required; college degree or technical certifications are a plus
