ABOUT THE ROLE
Kilcoy Global Foods (KGF) currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in a fast-paced, lamb production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration and rendering.
Preventative and breakdown maintenance activities, with a strong focus on a preventative approach
Contribution of ideas and input to improved systems, procedures and maintenance
Engage with the production team to optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis
Assist in capital and continuous improvement projects as directed
Maintain a strong focus on safety, health and environment
Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities
Prioritise urgent repairs of equipment
Understand the importance of troubleshooting and problem solving
Coordinate and collaborate with contractors as well as other departments regarding reliable maintenance of the various sections of the plant
REMUNERATION
$45-$50/hr (plus shift allowance)
ROSTER
Afternoon Shift commencing at 2pm.

ABOUT YOU
Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Engineering as a minimum
Experience in Maintenance Fitter or Fitter-Mechanic role
Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding
Reliable, motivated self-starter
Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills and communication skills
FMCG or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
Unlimited working rights within Australia
Ability to work alongside a diverse workforce
Drivers licence and reliable vehicle, or
Reliable means of getting to work
Vaccinated (or willing to be) against Q Fever.
