will be responsible f
designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs and enhance IT service delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ITSM, ITOM, Service Mapping, and configuring and troubleshooting Discovery and Discovery Probes. This position requires a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities to streamline and automate IT operations.
• Key Responsibilities:
• 1. ServiceNow Development and Customization:
• Develop and configure ServiceNow applications and modules, including ITSM, ITOM, and Service Mapping.
• Customize workflows, UI policies, scripts, and business rules to meet business requirements.
• Integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
• 2. ITSM and ITOM Implementation:
• Implement and manage ITSM processes and workflows, ensuring they align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
• Configure and deploy ITOM components, including Event Management, Orchestration, and Discovery, to enhance IT operations.
• 3.Service Mapping and CMDB Management:
• Design and configure Service Mapping to provide a comprehensive view of IT services and their dependencies.
• Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Define and implement CMDB data models and relationships that support service impact analysis and operational efficiencies.
• 4. Discovery Setup and Troubleshooting:
• Set up and configure ServiceNow Discovery to automatically identify and map IT assets and their dependencies.
• Troubleshoot Discovery issues, including probe configurations and credential management, to ensure accurate asset discovery and mapping.
• Optimize Discovery schedules and performance to minimize network impact and maximize data quality.
• 5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and support teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• 6. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
• Stay current with ServiceNow updates, new features, and industry trends to continuously improve the platform's capabilities and user experience.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
• Develop and document best practices, standards, and procedures for ServiceNow development and administration.
• Qualifications:
• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in ServiceNow (e.g., Certified ServiceNow Administrator, Certified ServiceNow Application Developer) are highly desirable.
• Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with ITSM, ITOM, Service Mapping, and Discovery modules in ServiceNow.
• Strong background in configuring and managing CMDB and related data models.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in ServiceNow development and scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, etc.).
• Experience with ServiceNow platform administration, including user and group management, ACLs, and system properties.
• Knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure components relevant to Discovery (e.g., SNMP, WMI, SSH, and HTTP).
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs for integrating ServiceNow with external systems.
