Job Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning and Strategy:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Service Now applications and modules.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define testing strategies to validate functionality.
2. Manual and Automated Testing:
Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Utilize test automation tools to script, execute, and analyse automated tests.
3. Functional Testing and Regression Testing:
Conduct functional testing to ensure new features meet specifications.
Perform regression testing to validate that new changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
4. Defect Tracking and Reporting:
Identify, log, and track defects in the system. Work with the development team to resolve issues.
Create detailed defect reports and provide recommendations for issue resolution.
5. Test Data Management:
Prepare and manage test data to simulate real-world scenarios for testing.
Ensure test environments are maintained and configured for accurate testing.
6. Collaboration with Development Teams:
Work closely with Service Now developers and administrators to ensure seamless integration and high-quality deliverables.
Participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.) to stay aligned with the development process.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
Document test results and generate reports to communicate test outcomes and quality metrics.
Contribute to knowledge base documentation and support process improvement initiatives.
8. Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices.
Participate in audits and support compliance requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5+ yrs Experience with ServiceNow: Hands-on experience in testing ServiceNow applications, including incident management, change management, service catalog, and custom applications.
QA Methodologies: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Automation Tools: Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, UFT, or ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework).
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Agile Environment: Experience working in agile development environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or QA Analyst or other relevant ServiceNow certifications.
Programming Skills: Basic knowledge of scripting languages (JavaScript, Python) for automation.
ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL framework and IT service management practices.
