The purpose of the ServiceNow Run team is to provide 24x7x365 application support across the Groups IT Services and to review/triage/resolve system generated events. The team rely on a broad set of technical capabilities across traditional Platforms, Cloud based platforms, Database platforms, and Application systems and take appropriate proactive and reactive action to ensure our IT services are available, secure and performing as expected for our customers.

Our customers are varied from Business Unit to IT Engineering, with many of the technologies and applications that are changing rapidly. Being part of “Run” component of CBA’s IT team, we are accountable for being dynamic, agile and rapid in our capabilities to service customer requests.

Your impact & contribution & Your reporting lines

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow workflows, applications, and integrations to support our business operations and objectives. You will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to gather requirements, identify process improvements, and provide technical solutions.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring compliance with established standards and policies and contributing to a positive team environment. You will have a strong background in ServiceNow development and a passion for staying current with emerging technologies and trends.

This position reports to the ServiceNow Operations Manager.

Your responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance ServiceNow workflows, applications and integrations to meet key business objectives.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to gather and analyse requirements, provide delivery estimates and design/build technical solutions.

Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions, including root cause analysis and preventative measures.

Ensure compliance with established software development standards, policies, and procedures, including code reviews and testing.

Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

Your skills & experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field

At least 5 years of experience in ServiceNow Support, Implementation & Support

ServiceNow Platform experience (Required)

ServiceNow experience in one or more of the following modules (Highly desired)

IT Service Management

Human Resources Standard

ITOM Visibility (Discovery)

Vulnerability Response

Governance, Risk & Compliance

Event Management

Finance & Procurement

Knowledge on ITIL modules such as Incident, Problem, Change & Request fulfilment

Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, AngularJS, and HTML/CSS.

Experience in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify technical issues and provide effective solutions

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

While specific qualifications are not mandatory, the desired outcomes is that the position seeks relevant IT qualifications (including certification) on one or more of the following:

Tertiary Education in an IT field

ITIL

ServiceNow certification(s) (e.g. Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist, Certified Application Developer)

Clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills with the ability to wholly and rapidly relay relevant information in a highly pressurized environment
