About Alstom in India
Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km. Section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of 12000HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Deliver Theoretical and Practical Training to the Customer on Operations and Maintenance Aspects
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main purpose of the position is to deliver Technical Maintenence training to Customer as per contractual obligations.
This involves technologies like CBTC(U400), Distance to Go technologies(U 200) & ETCS, which are the projects currently in India .
The training delivery is not restricted to Indian customers but also to various overseas tenders already quoted for Training delivery under ISR (Integrated Service Readiness)
Is responsible for creation of the Project Training plan for which will have to interact with the Design engineering teams.
Inward looking, the position will work with various Subsystem leaders and ILS Engineers in preparation of the training materials, either inhouse or with external vendors as the contracts calls for.
Outward looking, the position will delivery physical training to the trainers & the maintenance teams of customer which is primarily the maintenance training. The trainer will also deliver training to the Alstom Maintenence training teams.
Also works to create the WP for training at the tender stage, clearly interpreting & defining whats required in the contract and asses the deliverable thereof.
Qualifications & Skills:
Shall have a minimum experience of 8 years in the signalling industry.
Shall have a minimum of three years experience in Signalling Maintenance Training
Shall be a good communicator.
EDUCATION:
Shall possess a minimum of Diploma in any of the Engineering discipline or a degree in science/engineering
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
Shall be a team player and good communicator
Technical Competency & Experience:
Shall have prior experience in preparing technical and training documentation required for the project
Shall have the prior experience in preparing operation and maintenance manuals
Shall have prior experience in conducting internal and external training.
Shall have good understanding of the Metro and Mainline signaling solutions.
Shall have good understanding of the different sub systems like Interlocking, ATC and ATS
Shall have prior experience as a designer in one of the sub system(CBI/ATC/ATS)
Shall have good understanding of the RAM
Shall have good command over English language.
Language Skills:
Must be well versed in English
IT Skills:
Must be well versed in MS office
