Session Manager (Part-Time)
Skate World – Lakeland, FL
Starting at $18/hour (higher based on experience)
10–15 hours/week average | Rotating weekends | Additional hours as needed
Skate World, a family-owned roller skating rink serving the Lakeland community since 1973, is seeking a Session Manager to join our leadership team.
This role is ideal for a confident, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment and is comfortable leading weekend skate sessions independently.
Role Overview
The Session Manager is responsible for overseeing skate sessions, supporting staff, and ensuring a safe, clean, fun, and welcoming experience for all guests. This position works closely with our Operations Manager and plays a key role in weekend leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee skate sessions from start to finish
Supervise and support staff on duty (cafe, skate guard, party server, front door)
Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Manage birthday parties, skate sales, and promotions during sessions
Handle guest questions or concerns calmly and professionally
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and customer service
Communicate session needs, issues, or feedback to senior management
Schedule & Hours
Part-time: 10–15 hours per week on average
Rotating weekend schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
Occasional weeknight shifts for coverage as needed
Opportunity for additional hours (up to ~20/week) during peak seasons, events, or staff coverage needs
Must be available for weekends and select holidays
Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, & Easter
Qualifications
Prior management or leadership experience required
Strong customer service skills with both children and adults
Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a busy environment
Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems
Positive attitude, professional presence, and team-oriented mindset
