Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior SharePoint Developer to join our IT team. As a Senior SharePoint Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SharePoint solutions that meet the business requirements of our organization.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in SharePoint development, possess strong technical skills, and have a deep understanding of SharePoint architecture and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, and design and develop SharePoint solutions that meet their needs.
Develop and customize SharePoint sites, web parts, workflows, and applications using SharePoint development tools, including SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and Power Platform.
Implement and maintain SharePoint-based workflows, forms, and business process automation solutions.
Design and develop SharePoint integrations with other enterprise systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and integration points.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint applications, workflows, and configurations.
Optimize SharePoint performance by conducting code reviews, implementing best practices, and monitoring system health.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment instructions, and user guides.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation and integration of SharePoint solutions.
Stay updated with the latest SharePoint features, updates, and best practices, and provide recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, assisting in their professional growth and development.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party SharePoint tools and solutions, as needed.
Requirements and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SharePoint Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server 2016/2026.
Proficient in SharePoint development using technologies such as SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and PowerShell.
In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, including site collections, content types, lists, libraries, and permissions.
Experience in designing and developing SharePoint workflows using SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Power Automate, or Nintex.
Strong understanding of SharePoint governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Familiarity with SharePoint migration strategies and tools.
Experience with SharePoint integration using APIs, REST services, and third-party connectors.
Proficient in working with SharePoint on-premises and SharePoint Online (Office 365) environments.
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and debug complex SharePoint issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer, MCSE: SharePoint, or MCSA: Microsoft 365 are preferred.
