What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Shearing Machine Operator in the Dalton, Ga area. You will operate the Shearing Machine.
What you’ll do:
Shear any goods that require shearing.
Make sure machines are clean and in proper working order.
Make sure lint bags are changed and area is clean.
Assist in keeping work areas in a clean orderly manner.
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management
What you have:
High School diploma or equivalent
Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
What you’re good at:
Pays attention to details.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
What else:
Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit and stoop.
Occasionally required to kneel.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout a 12 hour shift.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
