Position Overview:
A Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic specializes in fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal systems used in commercial construction, with a focus on HVAC ductwork. This role involves working with blueprints, cutting and assembling materials, and ensuring the installation meets project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal for HVAC duct systems, vents, and other commercial construction components.
• Install ductwork, fittings, and supports in commercial buildings, ensuring precision and compliance with project requirements.
Blueprint Reading:
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and installation requirements for HVAC and other sheet metal systems.
• Mark materials to indicate cuts, bends, and assembly points based on project specifications.
Welding and Fastening:
• Secure sheet metal
